SUMMARY
The Vice President of Ticket Sales & Services is responsible for training, mentoring, motivating and
coaching the ticket sales staff. The person in this position will be responsible for developing and
implementing a Ticket Sales Plan designed to meet or exceed the annual sales goals set forth by
ownership. The Vice President of Ticket Sales & Services will oversee the sales and service activities
related to season tickets, partial season ticket packages, group tickets, group hospitality areas, leased
and nightly suite rentals and other ticket products created in the future. The Vice President of Ticket
Sales & Services will be responsible for implementing effective systems to monitor the professional
development and sales production of each member of the sales staff and the achievement of reaching
or exceeding the overall sales goals set forth for each season.
JOB DUTIES
• Maintains leadership and control over department.
• Recruits, hires and trains all Sales Representatives.
• Responsible for reporting revenue, commissions, and tickets.
• Ensures that Sales Representatives are meeting all of their goals and objectives.
• Establishes goals and incentive programs for sales staff.
• Responsible for handling customer challenges and/or concerns as they relate to sales made by the department.
• Organize and complete weekly sales reports
• Prepare sales material and collateral.
• Create weekly and monthly sales contests to create synergy within the department.
• Continued training of sales staff to increase representative’s skill sets.
• Research and implement “best practices” of sales events by networking with other sports teams.
• Create a “true” sales environment.
• Lead regular ticket sales staff meetings and facilitating discussion and sharing of ideas related to growing ticket sales revenue.
• Develop and maintain a personal client base of season ticket, mini-plan and premium seat holders.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Sports Management, or Business-Related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience required.
• At least three (3) year of sports industry experience preferred.
• Exhibit exceptional work ethic, desire to succeed and passion for meaningful career in the sports industry.
• Ability to quickly assimilate new information and willingness to learn and apply ticket sales best practices.
• Proactive and eager to take on new projects.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Enthusiastic, tireless teacher, motivator and sales professional required.
• Excellent knowledge of PC systems including Word, Excel, and database management software.
• Ticketing software knowledge a plus.
• Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record in ticket sales – in terms of both personal accomplishments and leading successful sales teams.
• Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
